Dear Student/Parent/Guardian,
re: GPDR
GPDR refers to the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, a regulation in EU law that comes into effect on the 25th May 2018. GDPR sets out certain requirements under the law concerning personal data and how it is managed. The principle effects of this with regard to Frank Murphy’s Taekwon-Do School which trades under the name of ‘Frank and Catarina Murphy T/A Murphy’s Masterclass’, are outlined and listed below.
Frank Murphy’s Taekwon-Do School [Murphy’s Masterclass] holds Data on current students primarily collected on the Screening Form that each Student must complete before commencing training with the club.
Frank Murphy’s Taekwon-Do School [Murphy’s Masterclass] destroys any data held for any person who has not attended Class in 6 months. To comply with GDPR Frank Murphy’s School of Taekwon-Do can confirm to students/parents/guardians that:
- Data collected can only be used for the purposes it was given and can’t be shared without permission
- Any individual can request to see any and all data that Murphy’s Masterclass have retained regarding them
- Any individual can request at any time to have their data removed and destroyed
- It is the obligation of the individual to ensure the accuracy of data such as contact numbers, addresses, emergency contact numbers etc
